Mold
A Bait fishing bait and lure making kits.
Photo above is of
me holding the second stringer of six catfish caught using Mold A Bait
Blood and Natural flavors at the small lake near Sahuarita Arizona on
June 21, 08. More on this little fishing trip in the Photo
Gallery. I wasn't able to cook one of them up for dinner until later
in the afternoon today, but it sure made it worth the wait.
Make
your own fish bait and fishing lures that are safe for the environment
and will not harm fish, water fowl, or other wildlife. It's simple and
easy to make your own lures and bait with our molds using your own choice
of hooks and a few minutes with a microwave or a pan on a stove top.
Mold
A Bait is 100% Biodegradable and if lost in the water or on land,
will simply either eventually dissolve, or become food for the first
critter that comes along.
Mold
A Bait is quickly heated in a microwave or on a stove top at low
temperatures and melted into a liquid state and then cast into molds
and left to cool into a firm rubbery like material. You can imbed hooks
and weights in the castings to make them act as you want in the water
and can even make your baits work as weed-less lures with the addition
of weedless hooks. You can add other things like fibers, swivels, weights,
and more to them to create an endless array of baits of your own designs.
Since Mold A Bait bonds perfectly to itself, you can also cut
parts or form parts to add to your molded baits before they gel. Once
they gel, they become one part.
Once
cooled to room temperature and set, the Mold A Bait material feels
and acts a lot like silicone rubber lures and baits, except, it can
actually be digested without harm by wildlife. If it ends up in the
stomachs of fish and animals it won't cause blockage in the intestines.
(Not withstanding hooks and other things you might put in them in your
personal lure designs of course).
Unlike
other man made rubber lures, Mold A Bait is more attractive to
fish because it will feel like real food, taste like real food, and
smell like real food. With the addition of colors to add more attraction,
you can mix and mold your lures with and endless array of colors to
create your own unique bait and lures to your hearts content.
Mold
A Bait should be kept to at least room temperature until you hit
the water with it. In real hot weather it will get very soft and can
even melt again if put in the sun in a hot container. We just keep it
in a cooler until we put it on the line to start fishing with it.
Treat
Mold A Bait just as you would food to keep it fresh. Keeping it
in a sealed plastic container or sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator
will make it last a long time.
You
can re-melt Mold A Bait as many times as you like. You can feel
free to cut, shape, dry, and experiment with bait designs as you want
without feeling like you will throw away your money if you do. This
means you can also recover your bait and lures when possible and just
make new ones until it is all gone. Mold A Bait is far more economical
to use than silicone rubber baits and lures too.
